BCCI unveils Team Indian New Jersey Ahead of the T20 World Cup. Check out the Image

On Sunday, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) unveiled Team India’s brand new T20I kit that players will wear during the T20 World Cup 2022, which will begin on the 16th of October in Australia. The jersey was launched in the company of many enthusiastic Indian cricket supporters; the new jersey was officially launched at an event in the Mumbai celebration organized by the kit’s sponsor MPL Sports.

The latest Team India jersey comprises shades of sky blue. Some of the pieces also have shades of deep blue. The jersey is called the ‘Harlan jersey,’ as the name suggests. This garment was worn by millions of Indian cricket fans, who have been the most excellent ambassadors for Indian cricket.

First glimpses of the new kit were revealed via MPL Sports’ official Twitter accounts that belong to BCCI and MPL Sports. Several players, including Rohit Sharma, Harmanpreet Kaur, Hardik Pandya, Shafali Verma Suryakumar Yadava, and Renuka Singh, can wear brand-new jerseys.

The previous day, world-class India batter Virat Kohli landed in Punjab to prepare for the forthcoming white-ball series with Australia. Recently, he returned to form, putting an end to his 10-day drought to reach 100 during India’s final T20I game in the series against Afghanistan in the Asia Cup 2022. He scored two fifties during the tournament and his 71st century in international cricket.

On Sunday, the captain Rohit Sharma confirmed that Kohli could be regarded as the third opener and will be required to start in a few matches.

“Rahul (Dravid) Bhhai and I talked about how we need to create Virat open in a few of the games since Virat has been our 3rd opener,” Rohit said during a media interview in Mohali in the lead-up to the T20I series against Australia that begins on Tuesday.
